Bowland Hall is a Grade I listed hall that is located on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales, close to the market town of Skipton. The historic hall can accommodate up to 32 guests in 16 bedrooms and has been home to the Tempest family since 1097. The hall is the perfect location for a family gathering or celebration or wedding receptions.

The estate is surrounded by areas of outstanding natural beauty, with the Yorkshire Dales National Park, Nidderdale, Forest of Bowland, North Pennines and Three Peaks all on the doorstep. The area has some of the most stunning scenery and attractions in the North of England; in addition there are walks, cycle routes, rivers, lakes, and golf courses to enjoy. Broughton Hall is on the main A59 only 2.5 miles west of Skipton. Trains run frequently from Skipton station to all parts of the UK.

Bowland Hall can sleep up to 32 guests in 16 bedrooms. A beautiful country house called Eden is located on the grounds of Bowland Hall and is available to sleep up to an additional 12 guests for an extra charge.

The Bowland Hall Estate extends to 3000 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, woodland and open countryside - a perfect paradise for walkers, cyclists, fishermen and nature lovers alike. The striking architecture and inspirational scenery lend a peaceful backdrop for leisurely strolls, games of tennis and waterside picnics.

All the bedrooms at Bowland Hall are wonderfully furnished and each enjoys a very individual character, the wood panelled Victorian Oak Room, the quirkiness of the Old Nursery and the regal grandeur of the North Room are sure to guarantee a memorable experience for all. Every bedroom enjoys striking views of the beautifully landscaped parkland and 17th century formal gardens. Most of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and there are two additional family bathrooms available. All of the bathrooms have the best classic British fitments, designed in traditional style. The bathrooms have a character of their own too, from walk-in marble showers and comfortable roll-top baths, to spacious and uniquely decorative havens.

History
The Bowland Hall Estate has been the home of the Tempest family since 1097. The Grade 1 listed hall dates back to 1597 with later additions including the two wings in 1810 by the renowned architect William Atkinson. He also designed the impressive Durham Cathedral. Over the generations, the family have collected a fine collection of paintings and furnishings and are said to have one of the best collections of Gillow furniture in England. The estate is now owned by the 31st generation of the Tempest family.
