Polpier can accommodate up to 16 guests in 8 luxurious bedrooms all of which have en-suite bathroom facilities with 7 of the bedrooms located on the first floor in the main house and the other bedroom in The Honeymoon Suite
Ground Floor
Hall and Disco: the main hall is at the centre of the house and doubles up as a disco with a DJ booth and equipment including an integrated dual player/mixer for music on CD's, laptop or iPod plus 2 turntables. The coloured light beams flash to the beat of the music.
Boot Room: a large storage space perfect for fishing rods, tennis equipment, golf bags
Cloakroom: with WC and washbasin
Family Room: off the main hall to one side is the family room with a huge L-shaped sofa, wood burning stove and Bose home cinema system with a selection of films
Snooker Room: to the other side of the main hall is the snooker room with an eight-foot table and a large bay window with views across the harbour
Drawing Room: next door to the snooker room with comfy sofas, a wood burning stove and views across the gardens and harbour
Kitchen/Breakfast Room: a large fully equipped kitchen with a four oven electric Aga, dishwasher, sink and a granite topped breakfast bar with stools seating up to 10 people plus a wall mounted TV and French windows leading out onto the sun terrace. At the far end of this light, spacious room with incredible views is the dining area
Ante Kitchen: this fully equipped second kitchen has two fridges, an ice maker, electric hob, two ovens, two dishwashers and a sink
Dining Area: complete with a wood burning stove at the opposite end of the kitchen there is a granite topped dining table seating up 16 people. There is extra seating available for up to 32 people by the addition of a T-shape with large windows and views over the grounds and the harbour
Games Room: next to the kitchen is the games room with a table tennis table
Utility/Laundry Room: a fully equipped laundry with 2 washing machines and 2 tumble dryers, additional storage space, a gun cabinet with the facility to store up to 18 guns and a cloakroom with WC and basin
Sun Terrace: French doors lead from the kitchen/breakfast/dining room onto the sun terrace with an outside granite dining table seating 16 people and BBQ area. With spectacular views over the hills, the harbour and the grounds
Gazebo Bar: with spectacular views of the harbour and countryside the covered gazebo bar offers a wood burning pizza oven, seating for 16-20 people, lighting and a wood burning fire
Grounds
With two acres of beautiful flower gardens, orchards, vegetable and herb gardens, goldfish pond and glorious views across Mevagissey harbour the gardens have been designed for guests to enjoy in complete privacy during their stay.
The croquet and cricket lawn is to the front of the house with a gazebo at one end of the lawn. A path leads you from the sun terrace past the front lawn and down towards the outdoor heated swimming pool (available from Easter weekend to the first week in October) which is accessed through a wooden gate. There are sun loungers set around either side of the pool and a table and chairs and a small charcoal BBQ built into the wall.
Behind Polpier you will find the all weather clay tennis court. There are a mixture of rackets and balls in the boot room, along with a croquet set.
Penpol can be accessed through a gate, which is left open when guests are taking both houses, from a pathway which leads from the sun terrace of Polpier and past the outdoor swimming pool.
First Floor
Red Bedroom: situated at the front of the house above the snooker room with a super king-size bed and en-suite walk-in shower room and beautiful views of the harbour
Green Bedroom: located on the side of the house with a super king-size bed which can be made into a twin and en-suite bathroom with a Victorian style roll top bath and shower attachment and views of the harbour
Grey Bedroom: this light and airy bedroom is situated at the back of the house above the family room with a super king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with a Victorian style roll top bath and shower attachment
Blue Bedroom: this is the second largest bedroom within the house and is situated at the back of the house with plenty of windows overlooking the sea, the gardens and the terrace with a super king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with a Victorian style roll top bath and a separate walk-in shower
Yellow Bedroom: located at the front of the house above the snooker room with a super king-size bed and en-suite bathroom with a Victorian style roll top bath and shower attachment and great views of the harbour
Aqua Suite: comprising of two bedrooms the larger has a super king-size bed with views across the harbour, the beautiful gardens and the terrace. The second bedroom has a super king-size bed which can be made into a twin with views of the gardens and the hillside. Both bedrooms share a large en-suite bathroom with a Victorian style roll top bath and a separate walk-in shower
The Honeymoon Suite: a short walk from the main house, this suite offers its guests total privacy, complete with a cosy sofa, wood burning stove, a super king-size bed and en-suite shower and dressing room, a kitchenette. The bedroom has sliding doors to a glass screened balcony with incredible views over the terraced garden and the harbour. The Honeymoon Suite entrance also benefits from a small sun-trap terrace overlooking the apple orchard
Penpol is arranged over several levels with 3 en-suite bedrooms, a formal sitting room and kitchen/dining room in the main house and a further 2 en-suite bedrooms with a kitchenette in the Garden House

Gardens
The main terrace can be accessed from both the living room and the kitchen/dining room of the house and is a fantastic space perfect for al fressco dining, with a large dining table and chairs and pots of herbs which are available for guests to help themselves to. With amazing views of the harbour and the surrounding countryside.
Down the steps to the front of the Garden House there is a smaller terrace with seating, a perfect sun trap and place to relax and enjoy the views. Following the steps and path down through the beautiful gardens you will be led to the enclosed Chapel Garden complete with its own gold fish pond and exotic sculpture.
A wooden door leads you into the hebe garden and another door takes you out onto the road which leads to the heart of the village.
Weddings and Civil Ceremonies (50 Guests)
Polpier and Penpol offers you a unique and exclusive location to create your perfect wedding day with a civil licence allowing weddings of up to 50 people.
There are three potential locations within the house and the gardens for you to complete your wedding vows. The gazebo on Polpier's front lawn, in the main hall or in the drawing room.
To hold a Civil Licence event at Polpier it is required that the property is let for a week, a weekend or a mid-week. A Civil Licence event is charged at £800. For couples who book Polpier there is no extra charge for up to 16 attendees. For couples who book both Polpier and Penpol there is no extra charge for up to 26 attendees.
For larger Civil Licence events and parties there is an extra charge of £2,000 for up to 50 extra attendees.
Polpier Estate is the perfect venue for corporate events, off-site meetings and executive board meetings. The house is well equipped for meetings with many reception rooms and local caterers who can look after the guests during their stay.
