A beautiful, tree-lined garden stretches from the house to the river’s edge, ending at a spacious jetty with sweeping views across the Thames and Cookham Moor. The wide, flat lawn is perfect for outdoor yoga, while the generous terrace with ample seating for al fresco dining and a shallow splash pool (open year-round, though unheated) invite leisurely afternoons in the sun.
By the water’s edge, the riverside kitchen, complete with oven, induction hob and fridge makes serving tea and treats effortless. The river teems with life, home to 42 species of birds. Paddleboards, a canoe and life jackets are available in the boatshed. The jetty and slipway also offer easy access for wild swimming or invigorating cold-water therapy.
As evening falls, gather by the fire pit beside the outdoor kitchen and barbecue to watch the sun set over the river. At the end of the garden, the Meditation Orb provides a tranquil space for reflection or small-group meditation, with serene river views.
