Grounds
The 17 acre resort consists of beautifully landscaped grounds which include a lake for wild swimming and rowing, a woodland with streamside walks, a cedar wood hot tub positioned on its own private deck overlooking the lake and an amenity field for lawn games.
There are 2 private gardens which the house has exclusive access to, a wild flower garden to the side, and a totally secluded, generously sized lawn garden to the rear.
The lawn garden overlooks the lake and has enviable views down the valley, towards the sea
You will find comfortable rattan furniture (seating 20) which also has dining capabilities should you choose to dine Alfresco in this truly beautiful setting, as well as two luxury sun loungers.
Also located within the lawn garden is a Kadai fire bowl for use as a fire pit, as well as a professional BBQ Grill set.
Cedar Wood Hot Tub
Positioned on its very own deck above the lake, immerse yourself in the warm waters of our 6 persons hot tub and enjoy the spectacular views over the lake, through the valley and down to the sea and the setting sun. The hot tub is situated on its own terrace, in the bank above the lake. It also has its own changing room and outdoor shower.
Our hot tub is for all guests in the resort to enjoy and can fit up to 6 people. Each booking benefits from a complimentary one hour “hot tub experience” session during your stay. Message the host for session times and to book. Additional sessions can be booked at £50 per hour, subject to availability.
As our hot tub is not a jacuzzi, the bubbles to enjoy are those in your sparkling wine. The warm water of our hot tub is calm, clear and quiet. Just perfect for relaxing and unwinding.
Wild Swimming
Be sure to bring your swimming costume or wetsuit and hop in our lake for a wild swim.
You will also find a large firepit located by the Lake for Guests to enjoy day or night, particularly perfect for large groups. Enjoy a wild swim in the lake and warm up by the firepit after, or gaze at the star filled sky at night. Longlands looks out onto one of the few Dark Sky Reserves in the world. Watching a full moon rise at dusk by the warm of the firepit is truly a memorable experience.
Our lake can also be used for boating and we have a skiff named ‘Mini Bird’. She can hold two adults or one adult and 2 children. Life jackets of varying sizes are provided.
