The owner lives in the basement of the house. Please note that when only the Manor is booked, there may be other guests staying in the Wing. However the interconnecting door will be locked and they will remain entirely seperate with a private entrance and driveway, with no access to The Manor, its facilities or grounds.


Location - Painswick Manor is located in the centre of the beautiful Cotswold village of Painswick, 10 miles from the town of Cheltenham. Painswick is a beautiful old village with shops, pubs, art galleries and restaurants, all within walking distance of the Manor.

Nearest Airport: Bristol (45 miles)
London: 1.5 hours by train (Stroud to London Paddington) or 2.5 hours by car


THE ACCOMMODATION

Ground Floor

Entrance hall: large entrance hallway with cloakroom

Kitchen: a beautiful hand-painted kitchen with granite worktops and a wonderful window seat. The kitchen is fully equipped including an induction and gas hob, 2 ovens, American style fridge freezer, ice and filtered water machine and wine cooler. The breakfast table can seat 8 guests; there is also a TV with full Sky package, and doors to the gardens

Library: great room to escape and read one of the many books on the comfortable sofas. The library also has a wonderful working fireplace to snuggle up to on a cold winter's night

Lounge: the perfect place for watching TV with a large 3D TV with full Sky package, plus DVD/BluRay player

Dining room: a traditional wood-panelled room with fireplace and wonderful views to enjoy a special dinner for 18 guests (larger tables can be arranged)

Drawing room: a real WOW room with double height ceilings, original fireplace, wood-panelled walls, chandelier and wonderful sofas and furnishings, the room also has beautiful views and a TV with full Sky package

First Floor

Games room: a secret door from the drawing room leads to a staircase to the games room on the first floor with a full size snooker table, surround sound system, bar with ice machine, TV and seating area

Laundry room: with washing machine and dryer

King Charles Suite: a bedroom in the oldest part of the house, the very room where King Charles stayed whilst visiting the property offering some great views of the Slad Valley. The bedroom has a super king size bed, beautiful fireplace and original beams, TV/DVD with Freeview. The en-suite bathroom has a built-in bath with beautiful views and a separate shower

The Tempest: double bedroom with king size bed, beautiful views, TV/DVD with Freeview. The en suite has a small private shower room

Second Floor

The Othello Suite: a very private room accessed via a private staircase with far reaching views, a king size bed and TV/DVD with Freeview (please note limited head height in places). The en suite has a bath and separate shower

Cleopatra: double bed with TV/DVD with Freeview (please note limited head height in places). The small en-suite bathroom has a shower

Julius Caesar: double bed with king size bed and TV/DVD with Freeview (please note limited head height in places). The small en-suite bathroom has a shower with curtain

Romeo and Juliet: double bed with king size bed and a TV/DVD with Freeview (please note limited head height in places). The separate bathroom has a shower over the bath

Ground Floor Bedrooms

King Richard: double bedroom with king size bed and TV/DVD with Freeview, the en suite has a shower

Hamlet: located within the grounds is a private cottage/suite with its own kitchen, sauna and shower room on the ground floor and a bedroom with a king size bed, TV/DVD with full Sky package on the first floor

The Wing (Accommodates 6 Guests)

This section of the house connects to Manor via a secondary entrance lobby, the Wing can be rented in conjunction with the Manor (at an additional cost) to accommodate an additional 6 guests if required.

Please note that when only the Manor is booked, there may be other guests staying in the Wing; however the interconnecting door will be locked and they will remain entirely separate with a private entrance and driveway, with no access to The Manor, its facilities or grounds.

Ground Floor

Breakfast room and kitchen: fully equipped industrial kitchen and breakfast room that can accommodate for large dinner parties up to 22 guests

First Floor

King Arthur: a luxury bedroom suite with a super king size bed decorated in rich gold and black fabrics. The bedroom has a walk-in wardrobe, seating area, wonderful triple aspect views and a large TV with Freeview, the large en-suite marble bathroom has a bath, twin sinks and a separate shower

Second Floor

Magical Merlin: double bed with a TV with Freeview (please note limited head height in places). The en-suite bathroom has a shower

Lady Guinevere: a beautiful room with a super king size bed or twin beds with a TV with Freeview. The en-suite bathroom has a shower

Grounds

Painswick Manor is accessed via gates leading to a sweeping driveway with parking for several cars. There are four acres of landscaped grounds with a badminton court and croquet lawn.

Heated outdoor pool (6 metres x 3 metres) with a retractable cover. There is also a gym which is equipped with a treadmill, free weights and a TV with Freeview.

The BBQ and outdoor kitchen is available for use and there is also a beautiful pavilion with al fresco dining, along with a spacious gazebo with outdoor sofas.
