Location - Goodnestone Park is set in the heart of the Kent countryside a short drive from the Kent Downs, near the village of Adisham (2 miles), the village of Aylesham (2.5) miles and the Cathedral City of Canterbury (8 miles)

Nearest Train Station: Adisham (2 miles) and Aylesham (2.5 miles)

Nearest Airport: London Gatwick 1 hour 30 minutes (75 miles) and London Heathrow is 1 hour 50 minutes (96 miles)

London: 1 hour 40 minutes by car or 1 hour by train (London St Pancras to Canterbury)


THE ACCOMMODATION

Goodnestone Park can accommodate up to 24 guests in 12 beautifully designed luxurious bedrooms 8 of which have en-suite facilities

Hallway: a beautiful entrance with a magnificent oak staircase with carved banisters, large chandelier and a Bechstein Grand Piano

Library: situated off the grand hallway with a carved rococo marble fireplace, comfy sofas and armchairs, full of wonderful portraits and a huge collection of books including Jane Austin and Shakespeare and Sonos sound system

Drawing Room: a light and spacious room with plenty of large windows and views across the stunning gardens and grounds with large sofas and armchairs and Sonos sound system

Round Room: this used to be the original entrance hall to the house full of beautiful features and double doors leading out to the east terraces and gardens

Dining Room: one of the grandest rooms within the house with hand painted bespoke wallpaper, a carved rococo marble fireplace and dining table and chairs to seat 24 guests and Sonos sound system, Acer projector and Optoma projector screen

Breakfast Room: with table and chairs for 16 guests, armchairs, coffee table, wood burner, Sony Bravia TV and Sonos sound system

Kitchen: a large modern open-plan fully equipped kitchen with 4 Rangemaster ovens, 5 gas hobs, 2 fridges, 2 freezers, dishwasher, microwave, Bravilor filter coffee machine, central island and doors leading through to the breakfast room

Pantry and Boot Room: the pantry is accessed through the breakfast room and has additional kitchen equipment, plenty of storage space, a tall wine fridge, a glass washer, Jura Impresa coffee machine, sink and two wooden high chairs.  The Boot Room has 2 washing machines, 2 tumble dryers, sink, croquet set, petanque set, umbrellas and access to bathroom with hand basin and toilet

Grounds

With 15 acres of exceptionally beautiful grounds including The Walled Garden, box-hedge parterre and woodland garden. There is a large terrace with outdoor settees and chairs for 4, table and chairs for 8 on the east side of the house and table and chairs for 16 guests on the west side of the house and a Gas BBQ.  

Guests staying at the house have exclusive use of the grounds surrounding the property.  The rest of the grounds are open to the public on a daily basis (except Saturdays).  Outside of opening hours guests have exclusive use of the full 15 acres. 

First Floor

Effie's Room: named after the late Lady FitzWalter, this bedroom is steeped in history with a feature fireplace, a kingsize bed and en-suite with a shower over the bath

Pink Room: a light, spacious bedroom with views of the front east facing gardens with a feature fireplace, with a super kingsize bed which can be made into a twin and en-suite with a shower over the free-standing bath

Jane Austen Room: named after the famous 19th century novelist, this room has spectacular views across the east-facing parterre and surrounding gardens, with an original Georgian fireplace, plenty of settees and armchairs, Sony Bravia TV and Sonos sound system

Fitzwalter Room: the former bedroom of Lady FitzWalter a luxurious room with a super kingsize bed and silk canopy, two entrances and glorious views over the east-facing gardens and cricket pitch and en-suite with a free-standing bath and walk-in shower

Dressing Room: with a kingsize bed, feature fireplace and views onto the west gardens

Family Bathroom: with shower over bath

Green Room: with a kingsize bed, views across the parkland and en-suite with a shower over the bath

Second Floor

George's Room: with a kingsize bed, with views across the west side of the house

Family Bathroom: shared bathroom for George's room and Henry's room with a shower over the bath

Henry's Room: with a super kingsize bed which can be made into a twin

Francis's Room: with a super kingsize bed which can be made into a twin, a feature fireplace, views across the parkland and en-suite with a shower over the bath

Games Room: with a super kingsize bed which can be made into a twin, a feature fireplace, views across the parkland and en-suite with a shower over the free-standing bath

William's Room: with a super kingsize bed which can be made into a twin, a feature fireplace, views across the parkland and en-suite with a free-standing bath and a walk-in shower

Julian's Room: with a kingsize bed and private bathroom opposite the bedroom with a shower over the bath

Robert's Room: with a kingsize bed and ensuite shower room
